New Independent Investigation
Since the Starchild Project research has come to a stand-still waiting for funding to complete the DNA testing, I am very frustrated and I just want to bring this quest to an end and find the secrets that the Starchild skull is hiding.
In 2016, 3 years after Lloyd's death, I felt I had let Lloyd down. I had promised Lloyd, his family, and friends that I would finish what we started.
After contacting many of the major radio shows in the UFO or paranormal field and not getting any response, I became very frustrated. I then started contacting many of the conferences throughout the field but not one was interested in my story. They all said that I didn't have any new information to share. When I tried to explain that no one had ever heard my story and invovlement in the project, they still weren't interested. So with all the rejection, I felt even worse about letting Lloyd down.
Then Ray and I decided to go the IUFOC in Phoenix, Arizona. While listening to Chase Kloetzke's lecture on her new book Admissable, she explained that all research needed to backed up with documentation by credible professionals. This was the one thing that we did not have in Lloyd's research. I knew that this was the most important thing we needed. Plus, for every scientific study, there must be double-blind testing with peer review.
After Chase completed her lecture, there was a Q & A section. I never stay for Q & A because it ends up with people just wanting to here themselves talk, but for some reason I stayed. Then the first question came, "What is the best evidence you would like to have?" Her answer: "DNA". I literally almost tripped over Ray and was at the mic before the next question was asked. When it was my turn, I simply told Chase that I was the original owner of the Starchild and I had the DNA she wanted. She looked shocked and wanted to talk to me. She almost left the stage right then.
We met after she left the stage and made arrangements to meet up later that evening so she could see the skulls. When I brought out the Starchild skull, the first thing she said was, "Are those Inca bones?" I had no idea what she was talking about. She explained what Inca bones were. They are bones situated between the parietal and supraoccipital sutures.
NO one had ever noticed this IN THE LAST 16 YEARS! How could this be? I had been asked many times about the suture lines but I just thought it was normal. We never ever asked any of our experts about these bones, nor did they ever say anything about them. This leads me to believe that the experts Lloyd showed the skull to didn't know what they were looking at either. This is not to say that they are incompetent but they had probably never studied anything this old and this strange before.
Chase explained that Inca bones have been found in the elongated skulls of Peru. After researching them, we found that Inca bones are found throughout Peru, the West Anatolian population and throughout Turkey. Now we have another question: How did this skull in Mexico have Inca bones? No one has an answer for this.
After spending some time with Chase throughout the conference, I could see that she had the integrity and passion for accurate investigation no matter where the evidence leads. Follow the facts. Chase is a spunky, high- energy driven person; who better to do a new independent investigation? This investigation will serve as the double-blind peer review. She will get qualified professionals to do the testing and will have the documentation that is necessary for admissablity. The questions will finally be answered.
Initially, this new independent investigation was not well-received by the partners of the SCP Research, LLC. They felt that I had over-stepped my authority. After much discussion, they agreed to talk to Chase. Chase explained that I was very genuine and sincere in asking for her help. In the end, the partners agreed to let Chase and myself move forward with this independent investigation without interference from them.
Now the fun starts. Chase asked me if I would be ok with taking the skulls to meet with other investigators an people in Crosbyton Texas. First she wanted to have Joe Taylor, a paleontologist and curator of Mt. Blanco Museum make a museum quality replica of both skulls. She also arranged for Bill May, a forensic anthropologist to exam the skull. Of course I jumped at the chance to get this going.
I felt honored to be included in this part of Chase's investigation.
